Eventbrite tickets can be resold on Theatr when they meet Theatr’s listing requirements and the organizer permits a valid handoff. Depending on the event, you may be able to update the ticket’s attendee details or share a ticket PDF that the buyer can use for entry.
Check the organizer’s name and ID requirements before listing. A downloadable file alone does not establish that someone else can use the ticket.
Before listing Eventbrite tickets
Open Tickets in the Eventbrite account used for the purchase and select the order.
Check whether Edit is available and whether changes apply to an individual ticket or the whole order. Only the original purchaser can edit the order, and the organizer must allow changes.
If you plan to send a PDF, confirm that it is the actual ticket and that the buyer can use it under the event’s entry requirements.
Check the event, date, time, seats or ticket type, and quantity. Prepare proof of purchase showing the event details and price paid, with barcodes and unrelated personal information covered.
If you are selling only some tickets from an Eventbrite order and there is no option to edit individual tickets, contact the organizer before changing the recipient. Eventbrite says those changes otherwise apply to the entire order.
Choose the handoff method on Theatr
Select Eventbrite as the ticket source. Choose Via original platform if you will update the attendee details through Eventbrite after the sale, or Instant E-Ticket Transfer if you already have eligible ticket files the buyer can use independently. For a later handoff, choose an accurate Expected Transfer Timing.
After submitting, check the listing under Orders → Sell → Manage. It may be under review, live, or need changes; submitting it does not necessarily mean buyers can purchase it yet. Follow the status and any requested changes shown in the app. See How do I sell tickets on Theatr? for the full listing process.
How to update the attendee details after a sale
Open the paid buyer order in Theatr under Orders → Sell → Manage → select the listing → Orders. Use Contact to confirm the buyer’s full name and email address for Eventbrite.
In Eventbrite, open Tickets, select the order, and choose Edit. If the event collects details for each ticket, choose Edit next to the ticket you sold.
Update the permitted attendee details for the correct tickets. Check the name, email, and which tickets will be affected before saving.
Ask the buyer to check the new email address and follow Eventbrite’s instructions to claim the tickets. Confirm that they can access all tickets in the Theatr order.
Once the handoff is complete, return to Theatr, tap I have transferred the ticket(s), and upload proof. Hide unrelated personal information because the buyer can view it.
Changing the recipient email does not remove the original order from your Eventbrite account. Do not use or share tickets you have sold. See Eventbrite’s instructions for editing order information.
How to deliver an eligible PDF ticket
For Instant E-Ticket Transfer, upload the actual, complete ticket PDF or a clear static ticket image using Upload My Tix while creating the listing. Do not upload a receipt or order confirmation in place of the ticket.
Theatr delivers the files automatically after purchase. You do not need to send them again or mark them as transferred. If one PDF contains multiple tickets, sell those tickets together or use separate ticket images for separate sales. See How Instant E-Ticket Transfer works.
If you cannot complete the handoff
If Edit is missing, changes affect more tickets than intended, or the buyer cannot meet the entry requirements, use Contact the Organizer in Eventbrite to request help. Do not promise a name change or valid delivery until the organizer confirms what is allowed.
If the tickets have already sold, keep the buyer informed and contact Theatr Support if delivery remains blocked or the event is approaching. If you cannot fulfill the order, follow the seller cancellation and refund steps.
