How to Resell and Transfer ATG Tickets

Learn how to resell ATG Tickets on Theatr using Instant E-Ticket Transfer, an ATG transfer link, or email delivery after a sale.

Eligible tickets purchased through ATG Tickets US can be listed on Theatr. Before listing, check your ATG order for the ticket format, delivery timing, and any resale or transfer restrictions.

Depending on your order, you can deliver ATG tickets through:

  • Instant E-Ticket Transfer on Theatr

  • ATG’s Transfer Tickets feature, when available

  • Email or Text using the ATG e-ticket PDF

Option 1: Use Instant E-Ticket Transfer

If your ATG e-tickets are already available, this is usually the quickest option.

  1. Start creating your listing on Theatr.

  2. Upload your proof of purchase. Keep the price paid and event date visible, but hide personal information and ticket barcodes.

  3. Under Ticket Source, select ATG Tickets.

  4. Under Handoff Method, select Instant E-Ticket Transfer.

  5. Tap Upload My Tix.

  6. Upload the ATG e-ticket PDF or a clear image of each ticket.

  7. Match each ticket to the correct seat when prompted.

  8. Complete and publish the listing.

When the tickets sell, Theatr automatically delivers the uploaded files to the buyer. You do not need to send them again or mark them as transferred.

Use the complete PDF e-ticket whenever possible. If a single PDF contains multiple tickets, it cannot be split during Instant E-Ticket Transfer and must be sold to one buyer. To sell tickets separately, upload a separate ticket image for each seat.

Option 2: Transfer through ATG Tickets

ATG’s Transfer Tickets feature is only available for certain venues and events. Choose this method only if the transfer option appears in your ATG account.

When creating the listing:

  1. Select ATG Tickets as the ticket source.

  2. Under Handoff Method, select Via original platform.

  3. Choose the most accurate Expected Transfer Timing.

  4. Complete and publish the listing.

After the tickets sell:

  1. Open the order under Orders → Sell and review the buyer’s contact information.

  2. Sign in to the ATG Tickets account used to purchase the tickets.

  3. Open Orders and select the relevant event.

  4. Select Transfer Tickets.

  5. Choose the tickets included in the Theatr order.

  6. Generate the transfer link and send it to the buyer using the contact information shown in Theatr.

  7. Ask the buyer to open the link, sign in or create an ATG Tickets account, and accept the tickets.

  8. After the buyer accepts, return to the Theatr order and tap I have transferred the tickets.

  9. Under Upload transfer proof, upload a screenshot showing that the transfer was accepted.

  10. Tap Upload to confirm the transfer.

Do not mark the tickets as transferred until the buyer has accepted them and can access them in their ATG account.

Option 3: Send the ATG e-ticket by email or text

If Transfer Tickets does not appear in your ATG account, deliver the ATG e-ticket PDF directly to the buyer.

When creating the listing:

  1. Select ATG Tickets as the ticket source.

  2. Under Handoff Method, select Email or Text.

  3. Choose the most accurate Expected Transfer Timing.

  4. Complete and publish the listing.

After the tickets sell:

  1. Open the order under Orders → Sell.

  2. Open the ATG confirmation email containing the e-ticket PDF.

  3. Forward the complete e-ticket email or attach the correct PDF using the buyer’s chosen contact method.

  4. Confirm that the ticket’s complete barcode or QR code is visible.

  5. Return to the Theatr order and tap I have transferred the ticket(s).

  6. Upload a screenshot of the sent email or text showing the ticket attachment.

  7. Tap Upload.

If the ATG tickets are not available yet

ATG may place a delivery delay on an order. If your e-tickets have not been issued, do not select Instant E-Ticket Transfer.

Choose Email or Text or Via original platform, depending on the delivery method available for your order, and select an accurate Expected Transfer Timing.

If the tickets sell before they become available:

  1. Open the order under Orders → Sell.

  2. Tap I can’t make the transfer right now.

  3. Contact the buyer and agree on when the tickets will be delivered.

  4. Upload a screenshot showing that the buyer agreed to the delayed timing.

  5. Submit the delayed transfer confirmation.

  6. Deliver the tickets at the agreed time.

  7. Return to the order and upload proof of the completed transfer.

Important ATG transfer restrictions

  • Not every ATG venue or event supports the Transfer Tickets feature.

  • Both the sender and recipient need ATG Tickets accounts to complete an ATG transfer.

  • Some promotional or discounted tickets may not be eligible for resale or transfer.

  • Once an ATG transfer is accepted, the original ticket can no longer be used for entry.

  • Refunds or event changes must generally be handled by the original purchaser.

If the buyer cannot access the tickets

Ask the buyer to:

  • Check their spam or junk folder.

  • Confirm that you used the correct email address or phone number.

  • Sign in to the ATG Tickets account associated with the transfer.

  • Open the transfer link and accept the tickets.

  • Check that the complete PDF was attached if you delivered the tickets by email or text.

You can review or cancel a pending ATG transfer before it is accepted. If the event is approaching and the buyer still cannot access the tickets, contact ATG Tickets and reach Theatr Support through the order.

Transfer options and requirements can change. For the most up-to-date information, see ATG Tickets’ ticket delivery guidance.
