How do I deactivate my listing?

Learn how to take a listing off the marketplace and what happens to offers and existing sales.

Deactivate your listing when you no longer want the remaining tickets to be available for purchase—for example, if the tickets sold somewhere else or you’ve decided to use them.

How to deactivate a listing

  1. Open Orders → Sell.

  2. Select Manage.

  3. Open the listing you want to deactivate.

  4. Tap Manage.

  5. Select Deactivate.

  6. Confirm the change.

Your listing will no longer be available to new buyers.

What happens when I deactivate it?

Once the listing is deactivated:

  • New buyers can no longer purchase it.

  • Pending offers are automatically declined.

  • Any sale already in progress remains active.

  • The listing remains available under Orders → Sell.

Deactivating a listing does not delete it or cancel an existing sale.

Can I reactivate the listing?

Eligible deactivated listings can be placed back on sale:

  1. Go to Orders → Sell.

  2. Open the deactivated listing.

  3. Tap Manage → Activate.

If Activate isn’t available, the listing may have expired, sold, or no longer be eligible to return to the marketplace.

Before reactivating, confirm that the tickets are still available and that all listing details remain accurate.

What if I can’t find Deactivate?

Manage your listing through Orders → Sell → Manage, rather than the menu on the public listing page.

If the listing doesn’t appear there, confirm that you’re signed in to the same Theatr account that created it. See Why can’t I see my listings, orders, or offers after signing in?

The Deactivate option is only available for an active listing. It won’t appear after the listing has sold, expired, or otherwise closed.

What if the tickets sold somewhere else?

Deactivate the listing immediately so another buyer can't purchase the same tickets on Theatr.

If a Theatr buyer has already placed an order, deactivating the listing will not cancel that sale. You’re still responsible for completing the transfer unless the order is canceled separately.

If you can’t complete an existing order, contact the buyer as soon as possible and follow the steps in How do I cancel or refund an order?
