What tickets can I sell on Theatr?

You can list tickets for upcoming, in-person events in the New York City area, including Broadway shows, concerts, comedy, dance, sports, festivals, and more.

The supported area extends beyond New York City itself and includes some nearby venues in New Jersey. Events outside this area can’t be listed yet. We’re working on adding more cities.

Before listing, make sure your tickets meet the requirements below.

Tickets can be listed only for upcoming events with a confirmed date and time. Past-date tickets can’t be listed, including tickets a box office may offer after a missed performance.

Choose the delivery method that accurately describes how the buyer will receive the tickets:

If your tickets won’t be available until closer to the event, you can still list them. Select the most accurate delivery timing and make sure the buyer receives them when promised. Tickets that are locked to your account or otherwise can’t be transferred shouldn’t be listed.

Set your asking price at or below the amount you originally paid per ticket, including fees. For more information, see How much can I sell my tickets for?

When reselling tickets you bought, upload proof that clearly shows the event name, date and time, and what you paid per ticket.

Images added to your listing’s Proof of Purchase are visible to buyers. Fully cover any ticket barcodes or QR codes and hide unnecessary personal or payment information before uploading it. For more guidance, see What should I upload for proof of purchase?

Include any information that could affect the buyer’s experience or ability to use the ticket, such as:

Lottery and rush tickets can be listed once you’ve received them, as long as they meet Theatr’s other requirements and can be transferred or handed to the buyer.

Some digital tickets are locked to the original purchaser’s account and can’t be resold. For more information, see Can I sell Broadway lottery and rush tickets?

You can relist tickets bought on Theatr if they meet the requirements above, including an upcoming event in the New York City area. Buying the ticket on Theatr doesn’t make an event outside the supported area eligible for resale.

Your original price paid includes the Theatr service fee from your purchase. You may list the tickets for up to that total amount. See How to Resell a Ticket Bought on Theatr for the steps.

If an eligible event doesn’t appear in search, tap Add details or None of these? Add a new event while creating your listing. Enter the event’s actual venue, date and time.
