How do I edit a listing?

Change your listing’s details, price or proof of purchase, including when it shows Action Needed.

You can change a listing’s details, price or proof of purchase while the tickets are still unsold and their listed performance time has not passed. How you save those changes depends on whether the listing is live or shows Action Needed.

How do I edit a live listing?

  1. Go to Orders → Sell.

  2. Open the listing you want to change.

  3. Tap Manage → Edit.

  4. Make your changes and check the details.

  5. Tap Update to save.

If the listing shows Action Needed, follow the steps in that section below.

Why is editing temporarily unavailable?

If you see Editing is temporarily unavailable or Someone’s checking out, a buyer is checking out with your listing. Editing and lowering the price are paused during that checkout. If the message appears when you tap Update, your changes have not been saved.

Check the listing again later. If the buyer does not complete the purchase, you can try again when Edit becomes available.

Changing the selling price

You can set your selling price up to what you originally paid per ticket, including the original fees. If you lower your selling price, you don’t need to change the original purchase price—it should still show what you actually paid.

Updating the proof of purchase

While editing your listing, open Proof of Purchase. Remove any images you want to replace, upload the new ones, and tap Save. Then review the listing and tap Update.

Buyers can see the images you add to Proof of Purchase. Make sure the event name, date, time and amount paid are easy to read. Cover ticket barcodes and QR codes completely, and hide personal or payment details buyers don’t need to see. For help choosing what to upload, see What should I upload for proof of purchase?

What if my listing shows Action Needed?

You can make the requested changes on the same listing and submit it again for review.

  1. Go to Orders → Sell and open the listing marked Action Needed.

  2. Read the message to see what needs changing and where to upload any additional documents.

  3. Tap Update Listing and make the requested changes. If you’ve been asked for additional documents, see What should I upload for proof of purchase?

  4. Check the details, then tap Publish to submit.

After submitting, check the status under Orders → Sell. If it shows In Review, the tickets aren’t available to buyers yet. Looking for Buyer means the listing is live.

What if I see “This listing is closed”?

This listing is off sale. Manage it from Orders → Sell. If it shows Action Needed, read the message and follow the steps above.

If you can’t see the review message or Update Listing, contact us with the listing details and a screenshot so we can take a look. If you already have a conversation with us, reply there.

What about sold or deactivated listings?

If you previously deactivated an unsold listing, see Reactivate or Republish a Listing on Theatr for how to put it back on sale.

Sold tickets, and listings whose performance time has passed, can’t be edited.
