Seat Views are photos shared by Theatr community members to help you get a sense of the view from different parts of a venue. You can browse them before choosing tickets and contribute your own after attending.
How do I browse Seat Views?
Open the event’s page in the Theatr app.
Tap the event photo at the top of the page, then tap View All to open the gallery.
Choose the Seat Views tab.
Use the available seating-area filters, such as Orchestra, Mezzanine, or Balcony. Where available, you can narrow a section to Left, Center, Right, or Unspecified.
Tap a photo to see it at full size and read the seat information and any seating tips provided by its contributor.
You can also open the gallery from Community: under Seat Views & Photos, tap View All if that preview is shown.
The available photos and filters vary by event. If you do not find your section, try All. There may not yet be a contribution for that location.
Can I use a photo to check the seats I’m buying?
Use Seat Views as a reference alongside the listing’s section, row, seat information, and any restricted-view notes. A photo from the same section may have been taken from a different row or seat, so it does not confirm the exact view from the tickets in a listing.
How do I share my own seat view?
Open the event’s Seat Views tab and tap the upload banner.
Add the seat location so other people can understand where the photo was taken.
Choose a photo that shows the view from your seat. In the photo editor, check that Set as seat view is selected, then tap Done.
Add any helpful details about the view, comfort, or accessibility. This description is optional.
Choose Public to share the contribution with the community, then tap Publish.
You can also mark a photo as a seat view while adding or editing an Attended entry. One photo per entry can be designated as the seat view.
A useful contribution shows the view clearly and includes the correct seat location. For example, a short note about a railing or a view obstruction can help someone compare seats.
Where can I edit my contribution?
Your seat-view contribution is saved as an Attended entry. Go to Profile → Collection → Attended, find the entry, and open its three-dot menu. Choose Edit to update the photo, seat details, or description, then tap Publish to save your changes. To remove the whole entry, choose Delete Entry; this also removes its public post from the event page.
Do I earn Karma for sharing a seat view?
