Notify Alerts help you find tickets without repeatedly checking Marketplace. Choose an event and your preferences; when a new available listing matches an active alert, Theatr can send you a push notification. Current matches also appear under Your Notify Matches in Marketplace.
An alert does not reserve tickets. A listing may sell or another buyer may begin checkout before you open it.
Create an alert
Open Marketplace → Notify, or go to Profile → Notify.
Tap New Notify Alert or Add Notify Alert.
Select one or more events and tap Continue.
Choose any preferences you want, then tap Create Alert.
Selecting several events creates a separate alert for each one.
You can also tap Notify Me for Deals on an event page. This creates an alert for that event without additional preferences. The button then changes to Edit Notify, where you can add or change preferences.
Choose which listings can match
Date and time: choose a date range and/or weekday or weekend performance times.
Quantity: choose one or more ticket quantities, or leave it open. If tickets must be bought together, the full bundle quantity must match one of your selections.
Maximum price: set the most you want to pay per ticket, including Theatr’s service fee. Listings at or below that amount can match.
Seat preferences: exclude listings marked Partial View or filter for listings marked Wheelchair Accessible.
A listing must meet every preference you set. Leave a preference open if you do not want it to limit your matches.
Turn on Notify push notifications
Three settings need to allow the notification:
The individual alert is on under Profile → Notify.
Your Notify Alerts is on under Profile → Settings → Notifications.
Your phone settings allow notifications from Theatr.
To turn off Notify push notifications for all your alerts, turn off Your Notify Alerts. To pause just one alert, use its own switch instead. These controls do not change your order notifications.
View matching tickets
Open Your Notify Matches in Marketplace to see currently available matching listings, or open a Notify notification. Review the listing and complete the purchase if you want to buy; opening it does not hold the tickets.
What happens after I buy tickets?
Theatr stops sending Notify push notifications for a performance once you have bought tickets for it on Theatr.
Matching listings can still appear in Your Notify Matches for that performance. If you want to look for more tickets, check those listings in Marketplace; seeing a match does not mean another push notification will be sent.
Edit, pause or delete an alert
Go to Profile → Notify, or tap Notify in Marketplace.
Edit: tap the alert card, change its preferences and tap Save. You can open a paused alert too.
Pause or resume: use the switch on that alert’s card. A paused alert stays saved but will not look for new matches until you turn it back on.
Delete: tap the alert card, then choose Delete below Save and confirm.
Alerts under Expired Alerts are no longer active. Use the trash icon to remove one, or tap Remove All.
If you are not receiving notifications
First check the three notification settings above. Then open the alert and check whether its date, quantity, price or seat preferences exclude the tickets you expected to match.
Also check whether you have already bought tickets for that performance, as explained above. A matching listing can still appear even when Notify pushes have stopped after a purchase.
If you still need help, contact Support with the event, the alert’s preferences and an example of what happened. Let us know if an order for that performance was canceled or refunded. If you already have a conversation with us, send the details there.
