How do offers work for sellers?

Learn how to respond to offers, confirm a sale, and deliver your tickets.

Make Offer lets buyers suggest a price for your tickets without changing the price on your listing. You can accept, decline, or suggest a different price.

Buyers authorize payment when sending an offer. If you accept, payment is processed automatically. Your sale is confirmed when payment succeeds and a paid order appears.

Review and respond to an offer

When an offer arrives, Theatr sends you a notification. Go to Orders → Sell, select your listing, and open Offers. Check the price, quantity, note, and expiration, and make sure you can deliver the tickets as listed.

  • Accept: Agree to the buyer’s price and proceed with the sale.

  • Decline: Close the offer. If you decline by mistake, the buyer can send another offer while the tickets are available.

  • Counter: Suggest a different price. The buyer must follow the counteroffer’s payment prompts before its expiration, or they can decline it.

The buyer’s offer expiration is your deadline to respond. You can also leave it unanswered and it will expire. You are never required to accept an offer; offers cannot currently be turned off for an individual listing.

Confirm the sale and deliver the tickets

Theatr sends a sale notification when payment is complete. Open Orders → Sell → select your listing → Orders to find the paid order and buyer details. Confirm this paid order before sending tickets.

  • Instant E-Ticket Transfer: Your uploaded tickets are delivered automatically after purchase. You do not need to send them separately or mark them as transferred again.

  • Other delivery methods: Use the buyer’s contact information and follow the transfer instructions in the paid order.

See How do I transfer tickets to the buyer? for the delivery steps.

What if my tickets are no longer available?

If the tickets sell elsewhere or you can no longer supply them, deactivate your listing so another buyer cannot purchase them on Theatr.

Deactivating a listing does not cancel a paid order. If you already have a completed sale you cannot fulfill, use that order’s cancellation options.

When should I contact Support?

If a buyer says they completed payment but no paid order appears, an offer you accepted still shows payment pending, or the app shows an error or conflicting status, contact Theatr Support. We can check the specific offer and payment record.
