Make Offer lets you propose a different price for tickets when the option is available. If you want to buy right away at the listed price, choose Buy Now.
When you send an offer, you authorize payment and a temporary hold is placed on your payment method. If the seller accepts, payment is processed automatically. You do not need to return for a separate checkout.
Before you send an offer
Check the event, ticket quantity, restrictions, and delivery arrangements. Only send offers for tickets you are ready to buy, including when making offers on more than one listing. If the quantity cannot be changed, the remaining tickets are being sold together and your offer must include them all.
An optional note is one-way, not a chat with the seller. It cannot change the ticket quantity, and acceptance or a counteroffer does not mean the seller answered your question or agreed to a condition. Sellers cannot attach a message to a counteroffer.
Direct contact details become available after purchase. If an unanswered question is essential to your decision, do not authorize payment just to contact the seller.
How do I send an offer?
Open the listing and choose the number of tickets, if the quantity can be changed.
Tap Make Offer and choose or enter your offer amount.
Choose an expiration time—the seller’s deadline to respond—and add a note if needed.
Review the price, quantity, and expiration time. Follow the app’s payment prompts to authorize payment and submit your offer.
Some listings have a minimum offer amount. If the app says your offer is below the minimum, increase it to continue. Meeting the minimum does not guarantee the seller will accept.
Where do I check the seller’s response?
Go to Orders → Buy and select your offer. Active offers appear in Upcoming; closed offers appear in Past. On older app versions, these tabs are called In Progress and Completed. You can also use View My Offer on the listing while your offer is pending. If it is missing, check that you’re signed in to the account you used to send it.
Accepted: Payment is processed automatically. Check Orders → Buy for the confirmed purchase and delivery details. A completed purchase appears as an order; you do not need to pay again.
Countered: The seller proposes a different price, and the hold for your original offer is released. Open the counteroffer to review its price and expiration. Follow its payment prompts before the displayed deadline, or decline it.
Declined: The offer closes and the hold is released. Sellers are not required to give a reason. You may be able to send another offer or buy at the listed price if the tickets remain available.
No response: Your offer expires at the time you selected and can no longer be accepted. The hold is released. You can send another offer if the tickets are still available.
Can I cancel or change my offer?
You can cancel a pending offer before the seller responds. Open it in Orders → Buy, tap Cancel Offer, and confirm. The authorization hold is released.
You cannot edit an offer after submitting it. To change the price or other details, cancel the pending offer and submit a new one if the listing is still available.
Once payment is complete, you have a purchased order and Cancel Offer no longer applies. See I bought tickets but I need to cancel. What do I do? for the order’s cancellation options.
How do I get my tickets after purchase?
Open the completed purchase in Orders → Buy. With Instant E-Ticket Transfer, the uploaded tickets are available through the order. For other delivery methods, the seller sends the tickets or coordinates the handoff using the order’s contact information and the listing’s delivery arrangements.
See How will I receive my tickets? for the steps for your delivery method.
What if payment or a pending hold is unclear?
A pending authorization reserves funds but does not by itself confirm a purchase. Check Orders → Buy before attempting another payment. If the app is still confirming payment, wait and check your orders again.
If the seller accepted your offer but the app still asks you to pay, the status remains unclear, or you see a completed charge but no order, contact Theatr Support before paying again.
A released hold may still appear as pending while your bank updates it. For release timing or more than one payment entry, see Why do I see multiple charges or duplicate charges?
