Theatr is a ticket resale app for Broadway shows and other live events, including concerts, comedy, dance, opera, and sports.
We currently support events in the New York City area. Events outside this area can’t be listed yet.
What makes Theatr different?
On Theatr, sellers set their asking price at or below what they originally paid. When plans change, this gives them a way to recover some or all of their ticket cost, while someone else gets a chance to enjoy the show.
We started as @stooping_theatre, an Instagram community where New Yorkers passed along Broadway tickets they could no longer use. Theatr grew from that same idea: helping more people get to shows while fewer tickets go unused.
How does buying tickets on Theatr work?
Download Theatr from the App Store or Google Play and browse tickets for the shows and events you’d like to attend. When you find tickets you’re interested in, open the listing to check the event date and time, seat details, price, and how you’ll receive the tickets.
You can buy the tickets in the app at the seller’s asking price. On listings that accept offers, you can also suggest a price for the seller to consider. If the seller accepts your offer, your payment is processed automatically, and your order is confirmed once payment goes through.
With Instant E-Ticket Transfer, you can access your tickets directly from your order after purchase. For other delivery methods, the seller sends the tickets or arranges the handoff with you.

Create a listing with your ticket details, proof of purchase, asking price, and delivery method, then submit it for review. After a paid sale, follow the order’s delivery instructions. With Instant E-Ticket Transfer, your uploaded tickets are delivered automatically.
