If your seller cancels your order, your full payment will be returned to the payment method you used to buy the tickets. The seller will not receive a payout for that order.
We know a cancellation can disrupt your plans. Sellers are expected to let you know as soon as they realize they cannot complete an order. If they have not explained what happened, we cannot confirm their specific reason. Repeated seller-initiated cancellations may affect their ability to sell on Theatr.
Check whether the order has been canceled
Open Orders → Buy and select the order. A completed cancellation should show Canceled or Refunded.
If the seller says they canceled but your order shows another status, contact Theatr Support with the exact status and what the seller told you. If you already have a conversation with us, continue there.
If the seller only asked you to cancel
A request to cancel does not mean the order has already been canceled. Check both the order status and whether you have received or accessed any of the tickets.
You can use Help → Cancel Order only when the order shows Waiting for ticket transfer, you have not received or accessed any tickets, and that option is available. Follow the confirmation shown in the app.
Waiting for ticket transfer means the transfer has not been confirmed in Theatr; the seller may still have sent tickets separately. If you have received or accessed tickets, the status is Ticket transferred, or Cancel Order is missing, contact Support so we can review the order before you take another action.
When will the refund appear?
The refund goes back to your original payment method. The time it takes to appear depends on your bank or payment provider. If you have a question about a refund, send Support the order details and what the order currently shows.
Finding another ticket
You can look for another listing for the same performance or set a Notify alert. Each listing comes from an individual seller, so the available seats and prices may differ from your canceled order.
