Institutional accounts are for producing organizations and approved ticket agents that regularly sell tickets on Theatr. We review these accounts before approving them and adding a verified badge.
Account types
Producing organization: A theatre, producer, event organizer or other organization selling its own ticket inventory. Its listings show an “Official Account” label.
Ticket agent: A business or individual approved to resell tickets regularly. Its listings show the seller as “Ticket Agent”.
The verified badge
The blue badge next to an account’s name means Theatr has reviewed and approved it as an institutional account. The badge applies to the whole account.
On a producing organization’s listing, tap the seller’s profile photo to see their other listings. On a ticket agent’s listing, tap the seller’s name to read what ticket agents are.
Buying from an institutional account
You buy in the app as usual and receive tickets using the method shown in the listing. Before buying, check the performance date, seats, price and transfer details.
Institutional accounts follow the same pricing rules as other sellers: tickets are listed at or below their original price.
Selling with an institutional account
Selling with an institutional account works like selling with any other account, with a few differences. See How do I sell with an institutional account?.
Apply for an institutional account
In the Theatr app, go to Profile → Settings.
Tap Apply for Institutional Account.
Choose Producing organization, Individual reseller or Business reseller.

We’ll review your application and follow up by email within 10 business days. We might ask for more information. Once approved, your account gets a verified badge.
